The Marketing Manager will implement the activities and operations of the Marketing Department, including updating the venue website, mobile apps, social media and all in-house signage. The marketing manager will work with minimum supervision and direction to prepare and execute event social media campaigns, along with grassroots outreach and coordination. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills to be able to manage numerous projects with competing deadlines. Candidate will also perform research to find target audience for specific ad plan and develop media campaigns and media buying plans as well as place media. The marketing manager’s ultimate goal is to assist the rest of the department in any way needed to ensure the success of all Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal events.
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to include social media, (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, etc.) print and online advertising and grass roots campaigns. These plans are to be accompanied by a method of tracking and reporting.
+ Work closely with Director of Sales & Marketing on all event-related marketing materials and campaigns
+ Maintain the venue’s website, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate
+ Serve as the social media voice of Shreveport Convention Center making sure the venue stays current and interactive with fans while promoting events
+ Develop new partnerships and maintaining strong industry relationships
+ Create and disseminate e-blasts, text messages and mobile app push notifications to venue database and subscribers
+ Create and implement social media proposals for event marketing
+ Creating/updating and distribution of bi-monthly event calendars
+ Update social media before, during and after events and concerts
+ Conceptualize & execute social media promotions for concerts and events
+ Study of the latest social media trends
+ Manage Google Analytics account and track trends/traffic
+ Coordinate with house photographer for all shows
+ Submit event and concert images to industry publications
+ Update online event listings
+ Measure ad effectiveness and optimize if needed
+ Oversee media buying with direction of Director of Sales & Marketing and ensures best price, quality and placement of advertisements.
+ Select agencies for campaign efforts to partner with and identify potential markets for client needs
+ Prepare cost estimates and media plans for ad campaigns
+ Serve as liaisons between the firm requiring the advertising and an advertising or promotion agency that actually develops and places the ad
+ Assist with outside design agencies and other entities with coordination of assets and property collateral
+ Will also be in charge of identifying sponsorship/advertising opportunities within the facility
+ All other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing
