This role supports the retail offering at RaDD in San Diego, CA, along with the Progress Park events and activations, working closely with the Events and Property Management teams. Key priorities include brand storytelling, retailer support, community connection, data-driven decision-making, and integrated marketing across digital, PR, advertising, and events. This person will report to the General Manager and lead the overall marketing strategy and goals of the property. **What You’ll Do:** + Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that bring the property’s brand to life through place-making and lifestyle-focused content that position RaDD as a leading lifestyle destination. + Craft narratives that connect retail offerings, seasonal activations, and community moments into a cohesive and authentic brand experience. + Translate client vision for the project into campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences, emphasizing quality, connection, and local culture. + Act as a partner and resource for retailers, restaurants and partners—supporting individual needs, grand openings, and sales-driving promotions. + Facilitate retailer co-marketing opportunities and collaborate on custom content, influencer campaigns, and spotlight promotions that elevate tenant visibility. + Build strong relationships with retail staff to create a supportive ecosystem that drives mutual success. + Collaborate on a robust digital strategy that includes targeted social content, paid media, email campaigns, SEO, and website updates tailored to shopper behaviors and park visitors. + Ensure social channels reflect the personality of the property while also supporting real-time promotions, retailer engagement, and event amplification. + Use video, photo, and editorial content to showcase the vibrancy of the retail district and park experiences. + Oversee a content calendar and coordinate with partners on photo/video storytelling, influencer features, and user-generated content. + Drive seasonal advertising and media buys that align with peak shopping and park engagement periods. + Work with internal or external PR teams to secure earned media, handle press opportunities, and promote key announcements. + Identify and partner with local influencers and creators to expand reach and generate authentic word-of-mouth. + Develop grassroots campaigns and partnerships with schools, nonprofits, artists, and local organizations. + Integrate community partnerships and cultural programming to broaden reach and participation. + Support on-site activations through pre- and post-event marketing efforts. + Co-create activations or initiatives that build goodwill and long-term relationships with residents and regional audiences. + Work alongside the Property Events Manager to promote public events and park activations that reinforce the brand and support retail traffic. + Ensure that park events act as traffic drivers and brand builders for adjacent retail and F&B. + Leverage events as storytelling moments across digital platforms and PR channels. + Position the client as a key destination for regional, national, and international travelers visiting San Diego. + Work together with the San Diego Tourism Association, local hotels, convention center, cruise port, and other visitor groups to build co-branded promotions and cross-marketing campaigns. + Create and distribute targeted materials for concierge desks, travel guides, and visitor centers. + Launch campaigns and activations tied to major San Diego tourism events (e.g., Comic-Con, Del Mar races, Padres season, beach festivals). + Collaborate with travel influencers and tourism media to craft excitement and engaging content. + Track tourism-related performance metrics such as out-of-market traffic, hotel referrals, and campaign return on investment. + Use data and analytics tools to measure the impact of marketing campaigns, shopper behavior, event value, and digital engagement. + Regularly report on critical metrics including traffic, sales impact, campaign reach, and customer sentiment. + Continuously optimize tactics based on performance data, market trends, and retailer feedback. + Manage marketing budget and ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and within scope. + Coordinate vendor relationships, creative development, and approvals across internal and external teams. **What You'll Need:** To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The minimum salary for the Marketing Manager position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Marketing Manager position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
