Your New Role…
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager within the team of the VP Marketing, Sports, Networks & Streaming UK, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of marketing campaigns in line with the marketing strategy and business goals. The Marketing Manager will support the Senior Marketing Manager and VP Marketing UK as well as the EMEA Streaming team on the UK launch of HBO Max and ongoing brand and content campaigns. The role demands close collaboration with wider teams including marketing, publicity, social, growth and partnerships, product and merchandising to ensure that we have fully integrated campaigns to promote the incredible wealth of quality content available on HBO Max. The role also requires knowledge of HBO TV and Warner Bros. film content to promote the incredible wealth of premium quality content available on HBO Max.
The HBO Max Brand and Content Marketing team in the UK will consist of a Senior Marketing Manager reporting to the VP – and reporting into them will be a Marketing Manager (this role) and a Marketing Executive.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Management of marketing activity across HBO Max key brand and content drumbeats
Support the Senior Marketing Manager and the VP Marketing to deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end, engaging and compelling 360 marketing launch campaign for HBO Max with the utmost standout in-market
Work on the exemplary execution of multiple campaigns through the year for outstanding, best in class HBO content and pay 1 movies - translating global plans into locally resonant campaigns to attract and engage UK audiences
Working with the Senior Marketing Manager, ensure we hit the bar on the delivery of exceptional creative through the in-house team, external agencies and other sources, both centrally and locally based
Concisely and accurately collate feedback on creative and media across all stakeholders
Support the Senior Marketing Manager by working closely with our external media agency, specifically ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of campaign assets to media owners
Support campaigns by working seamlessly with the Growth and Partnership team and internal buying team to ensure total cohesion between upper funnel brand awareness creative and lower funnel customer acquisition, CRM campaigns and partner assets
Work collaboratively and in lock-step with the Publicity team on all brand and content launches, activations, events and initiatives
Support the Senior Marketing Manager in the preparation of comprehensive decks for campaign strategies and assets
Work with various internal teams including Global and Local Research and Insights teams to prepare compelling post campaign analysis reports and present results
Work closely with the Sports Marketing team to ensure total cohesion of the TNT Sports offering on HBO Max
Work in lockstep with with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure campaigns meet all guidelines. Ensure all advice is carefully communicated and adhered to
Act as a brand custodian for HBO Max and WBD’s Studios and Streaming business
Additional work as directed by the Senior Marketing Manager and/or VP Marketing
Qualifications & Experience…
Experienced marketer with a proven track record in broadcast marketing and a specialism in streaming marketing. Having worked at a Streamer or on premium scripted content is advantageous
Passion for and knowledge of WBD’s wider content slate, including entertainment, sport, film and games
Experience of full funnel marketing across multiple internal departments and external agencies
Experienced at running high budget marketing campaigns
Ability to see the bigger picture, understand strategic goals and operate in an environment of constant change
Experience of brand management
Excellent, succinct writing and communication skills
Strong creative management skills, ability to deliver feedback
Confidence in dealing effectively with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
Ability to read a room and excellent presentation skills
Strong understanding of research techniques and metrics and the ability to put the relevant target audience at the heart of all communications
Keen attention to detail, with the ability to ensure the pin-point accuracy of all marketing communications output
Ability to deputise for the Senior Marketing Manager when required
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
