Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Creative Partnership team at Versant is a team of collaborative digital experts representing The Fandango Network (Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, and Fandango at Home), and our Sports Next brands (GolfNow, GolfPass, SportsEngine and SportsEngine Play). Our goal is to help our advertising partners engage with high-value audiences by handpicking the very best digital solutions to deliver on business objectives. The Creative Partnerships team is at the forefront of Versant’s innovation strategy, leading go-to-market materials, developing client-specific collateral, and identifying new growth opportunities to deliver best-in-class advertising solutions.
This role will focus on Sports Next’s portfolio of industry-leading digital properties, reporting to the Senior Director. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in both pre-sale planning and post-sale execution, collaborating closely with Sales to deliver high-impact advertising solutions and meaningful results for our brand partners.
Responsibilities
+ Pre-Sale Process: Attend meetings with advertisers and/or agencies to identify client needs, lead internal briefing sessions of cross-disciplinary teams, develop response proposals ensuring content ideas are purposeful, on-brand, and on-strategy, and pitch ideas succinctly & effectively
+ Sponsorship Development: Identify, ideate, and shape new opportunities across the portfolio for clients—unlocking innovative ways to meet their goals and drive business impact by leveraging advertiser objectives, sales priorities, market trends, and consumer insights to inform strategic direction.
+ Collateral Development: Develop, design, and maintain a suite of sales collateral—including but not limited to decks and one-sheets—that supports the advertising sales team. Materials will showcase sponsorship opportunities, highlight the value of Sports Next’s properties, articulate go-to-market strategies, and incorporate category research, audience insights, and other compelling data to help drive revenue and client engagement.
+ Post-Sales Campaign Management: Support Planning in execution of sold digital campaigns with a focus on custom and marketing-driven tactics including but not limited to CRM assets, video content production, editorial, sweepstakes, onsite activation and third-party partnerships.
+ Social Campaign Management: Lead the execution, optimization, and reporting of paid social partnership ad campaigns across portfolio channels in collaboration with the performance marketing and planning teams to ensure campaigns are strategically targeted, performance-driven and profitable for our brands.
+ Creative Project Management: Act as the liaison between clients, planning, creative, and marketing teams, managing internal and external design and copywriting resources to develop campaign assets and reviewing submissions to ensure they meet advertising specs and creative guidelines
+ Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the connective tissue between teams, fostering transparent and proactive communication with sales, planning, ad operations, product, marketing, content and production teams to ensure alignment and progress on the development and execution of client campaigns during both pre-sale and post-sale process.
+ Product Innovation & Advocacy: Identify white space opportunities based on client feedback and market trends; collaborate with sales, planning, ad operations, and product teams to develop new advertising solutions that align with business needs.
+ Design Support: Create digital assets using Canva and AI image-generation tools, reducing turnaround time and increasing production efficiencies.
Qualifications/Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
+ 3+ years of professional digital marketing experience ideally at an advertising, media agency, media company, or sales organization
+ Experienced in the execution, optimization and reporting of paid partnership ad campaigns on social channels with emphasis on Meta properties
+ Skilled in PowerPoint and other MS Office programs – Outlook/ Word/ Excel
+ Comfort using Canva, ChatGPT, OpenArt and/or Midjourney is a plus

Additional Requirements
+ This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
