About the Role:
Aligned with ANZ Commercial Plan, the Brand & Content Manager (Australia & New Zealand) is responsible for leading the development and execution of brand strategies and growth initiatives that strengthen brand equity, drive consumer engagement, and deliver commercial results through strong partnerships.
This role will lead integrated brand campaigns, manage partnerships and deliver content to ensure Subway’s brand positioning is brought to life consistently across all touchpoints. Through effective cross functional collaboration with internal teams, working closely with external partners / suppliers, partnering with external media, creative and PR agencies, as well as strong communication with our franchisee network, this role will work to enhance the brands marketing plans to drive consumers to Subway in Australia and New Zealand. Brand, partnership and content initiatives will be insight-led, locally relevant, and aligned with business objectives to deliver growth to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Brand Strategy Development – Work closely with Head of Brand Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager to develop and execute culturally resonant brand strategies for the ANZ region. Sponsorship & Partnership Management – Act as the brand guardian for all sponsorship and partnership opportunities, ensuring alignment to Subway’s brand values, tone, and objectives while maximizing brand visibility and relevance. Vendor and Supplier Activity – Lead and manage beverage and other category brand partnerships and marketing calendars, ensuring alignment with Subway’s brand strategy activation plans, and commercial objectives. Influencer & Brand Ambassador Engagement – Lead paid influencer strategy and 20% engagement, developing content briefs and executions which align to campaign and brand objectives. Brand Moments and Activations – Identify and create distinctive, ownable brand moments 10% and initiatives that resonate with both current and growth audiences, bringing them to life through bold, high-impact activations and campaigns. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with internal Digital, PR, Operations, and Product 10% teams and external agencies to ensure campaign and brand activity is fully integrated Market Insights & Analysis – Monitor consumer trends, brand performance, competitor 5% activity, and category insights to inform strategy. Budget Management – Manage brand and content marketing budgets, ensuring effective 5% allocation and ROI tracking.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Proven track record delivering integrated brand campaigns and vendor / partner marketing strategies to life across multiple channels. Influencer / content management to drive engagement with brands. Strong strategic thinking, creative judgement, and commercial acumen. Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. QSR, retail, or FMCG experience (desirable) Experience with brand positioning, portfolio management, and brand health measurement. (desirable) Strong understanding of PR, media and digital integration (desirable)
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience 7+ years in marketing, with a focus on campaigns and vendor/brand partnerships, preferably within retail / consumer industries. Technical Proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Able to multi-task, prioritize workload and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, detail oriented An ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
