Marketing Director

Within the Downstream and Global Chemicals marketing team, the Marketing Director will lead the Petrochemicals market segment team to develop our value proposition for the core product line, drive and manage segment innovation, support of Total Value Delivery (TVD) delivering topline growth, and create margin expansion. The Marketing Director will focus on customer-focused innovation needs, project execution and financial tracking, working closely with RD&E, the marketing team, sales, supply chain, and digital teams.

The Marketing Director will serve as an energetic project leader in the company to help the Petrochemicals team create, capture, and communicate positive impact to proactively help our customers reach their ESG and total cost of operation goals. This role reports to the Global VP Marketing for Downstream and Global Chemicals and is based in Houston, Texas. It will support both global and regional businesses with market intelligence and best practices. 


What You Will Do:

Effectively manage and develop the team in the Petrochemicals segmentCreate a strategy for the market segment globally to identifying growth markets and opportunities; then work with the team and regions to implement plans for products and programs to deliver growth.Get voice of customer feedback for innovation ideas to add new opportunities to the pipeline, review and drive the existing innovation portfolio, and execute the launch of new innovations as the project leader.Work with the regions to execute newly launched innovations and understand regional market needs.The Marketing Director will be responsible for executing activities as directly related to managing the performance of the existing offering portfolio, raw material strategies, productivity enhancements, and supply chain assurance.Ensure accurate representation of Ecolab to the community with regards to product specific regulations and information.Work with PLM to determine and execute effective solutions for product related issues such as forecasting of product sales for each warehouse, resolving product supply issues, coordinating alternative solutions for product related issues, looking for opportunities for margin improvement and managing product life cycle.Spearhead the development and execution of case studies and promotional activities, such as trade shows, sales activation activities, and external integrated marketing campaigns. Leverage cross functional groups to couple knowledge of customer needs with existing and future technology capabilities.Track and report on key application performance metrics and take corrective action as required.Engage in industry associations and external networks to establish the thought leadership and technical expertise to market products and programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree10 years of professional experience in a business-to-business environmentImmigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA, international business or marketing preferredBachelor's Degree preferably in STEMStrong verbal and written communication skills; executive presentation experience is preferredFluent in English, both oral and written; multi-lingual is a plusAbility to work well in a global matrixed organization and provide team direction as a leaderAbility to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects across different functional groups regionally.Solid business acumen, strong financial understandingStrong problem solving / Analytical Skills/ wholistic thinkingAttention to detail; ownership mentalityGlobal mindset/global experienceExperience with a wide range of marketing tools, including strategic and tactical product marketing capabilities

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $141,900.00 - $212,900.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
