Position overview:

 

The role focuses on leading strategic marketing planning and execution to build strong brands and compelling consumer experiences. It requires applying core marketing skills with a sharp commercial focus on both current performance and long-term goals. The position involves driving brands, communication, and innovation initiatives that meet consumer needs and deliver profit growth. It demands full accountability to the marketing plan while ensuring others meet their targets. Strong leadership is essential to align and inspire cross-functional teams around the brand’s purpose and objectives. The role also emphasizes building trust, recognizing success, and maintaining high standards across the organization.

 

As a valuable team member, your responsibilities will include:

 

Developing and owning long-term marketing plans aligned with the Country Leadership Team, based on consumer insights, market trends, and business goals. It includes regularly optimizing plans to reduce costs and boost brand impact and translating the long-term strategy into actionable annual and monthly commercial plans. Leading and embedding each brand’s identity into a standout communications plan, driven by deep consumer understanding and clear competitive differentiation. Ensure consistent execution across all touchpoints like packaging, sponsorships, and digital media. Providing ongoing brand health and P&L reviews, tracking key activities across functions. Monitor performance against short- and long-term goals, ensuring brand initiatives lead the category. Hold the business accountable for brand success, with a clear view of the full value chain and financial impact. Managing the overall and brand-specific marketing budgets to build brand image and drive long-term performance, aiming to meet volume, market share, and profitability targets. Continuously optimize plans to reduce costs and enhance consumer and customer impact. Leading and developing a capable team to consistently deliver high-quality results, while building a strong talent pipeline by identifying and attracting individuals who can elevate performance.

 

Requirements:

10+ years in marketing or trade marketing roles. 5+ years in senior leadership roles (managing 10+ people). 5+ years experience in FMCG which is quite fresh (i.e. not more than 3 years out of FMCG). to have been solely accountable for brand plans and performance whilst delivering through and developing a team of brand managers. indirect Sales/Customer experience with responsibility to deliver topline A track record of delivering brand plans through development and execution of a range of core marketing disciplines, all supported by strong commercial understanding
