Marketing Designer (Graphic, Digital)
1325 Walnut Ridge Drive, Hartland, WI 53029, USA | Marketing - 9910 | Full Time | Full-benefits package including medical/dental insurance options, PTO, 401(K), pet insurance, tuition reimbursement program, employee discounts, and more As a Marketing Designer, responsibilities will include designing digital assets, testing them, and optimizing them based on their performance. Responsibilities also include staying up to date on industry trends and the latest digital design software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Actively participates and leads in brainstorming and campaign concept meetings and is enthusiastic to ideate with the larger team. + Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. + Test assets and optimize based on their performance. + Develop and iterate new designs based on the initial direction and user feedback. + Create email designs for CRM programs and coordinate the creation of email templates in HTML. + Create smart, compelling, and innovative creative solutions across a wide array of integrated branding platforms. Platforms include: print assets for postcards, magazines, in-store signage, etc., as well as digital assets (static, video, and HTML) for social, display advertising, eCommerce, websites, mobile apps, etc. + Partner with the creative agency to bring brand positioning into all aspects of Batteries Plus. + Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation. + Be a trusted creative partner who develops strong relationships within creative and across other cross-functional departments. + Problem solver who works to communicate expected issues and opportunities in advance and contribute ideas for solutions. + Ownership of leading and delivering strategy-aligned campaigns on time + Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review. + Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback processes. + Consults with marketing team members and other departments as needed on complex or specialized projects. + Coordinate artwork and graphics for reports, annual statements, product promotions and other documents. Ensure the conformity and accuracy of materials, and the meeting or exceeding of graphic standards. + Conceptualize, design, layout, and produce digital displays and promotional material. Develop graphics and layouts for logos, websites, and products. + Ensure high-quality, professional designs. Design detailed or technical illustrations, charts, graphs, and animations (as needed) using computer software. + Provide photography and video services and operate related equipment. + Interact with vendors to ensure the best prices and quality, and effectively resolve problems. + Review proofs and final layouts to ensure quality output. + Maintain technical competency by researching new technology and changes in the industry. Research new software and design concepts. Education and Experience + Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field required; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. + 2-5 years of relevant work experience. + Experience working in a collaborative team environment. + Experience working directly with developers to implement designs. + Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, InVision, etc. + Working knowledge of CSS and HTML. + Photo and video editing expertise. + Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques. + Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing. + A good understanding of visual design principles. + Proven digital content skills. + Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences. + Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities. Physical Requirements / Work Environment The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows.
