Marketing Coordinator

Specialty Program Group (SPG) is a leading specialty insurance MGA and MGU, managing a diverse portfolio of brands and providing innovative solutions to the insurance industry. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Marketing Manager to support our underwriting division, helping drive brand awareness, lead generation, and business growth.

About The Role

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our central marketing team. This role is ideal for a well-rounded marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across a wide range of marketing functions. You’ll support business units with email campaigns, social media, website content (WordPress), content creation, and internal initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing: Build, test, and deploy email campaigns and newsletters, track performance metrics and recommend optimizations.Social Media Management: Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing posts across multiple business unit social accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.); monitor engagement and trends.Website Management: Learn how to update and manage WordPress websites, including adding new content, landing pages, and imageryContent Creation: Assist with developing marketing collateral, blog posts, case studies, product sheets, and internal communication pieces.Project Coordination: Support cross-functional projects such as campaign launches, webinars, and events. Track tasks and timelines to ensure timely delivery.Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance and website traffic using tools such as Google Analytics; compile performance summaries and insights.Collaboration: Serve as a point of contact for assigned SPG business units, building relationships and translating marketing needs into actionable plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.Relevant internship or project experience in marketing, communications, or a similar area.Working knowledge of email platforms, CMS (especially WordPress), and social media tools.Familiarity with graphic design and content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Grammarly).Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative and proactive attitude; comfortable interfacing with various internal stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Basic understanding of SEO best practices.Experience working in or with insurance, B2B, or multi-brand organizations.Familiarity with marketing automation tools or CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).Experience using AI tools, including ChatGPT, for content generation, research, etc.Video editing or animation tools (e.g., Canva Video, Adobe Premiere Rush).

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
