Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (mix of on-site and remote)

About British Swim School – Lake Nona:

British Swim School offers life-saving swim instruction to children and adults in a fun, engaging environment. As we open our brand-new Lake Nona location, we’re looking for a creative, community-oriented team member to help promote our programs, connect with local families, and keep our current members informed and engaged.

Position Summary:

The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for managing all social media, email marketing, seasonal event planning, local outreach, and member engagement activities. This role is perfect for someone who loves building relationships, creating content, and organizing fun, family-friendly initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

📱 Social Media & Digital Marketing

Manage and grow presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile

Create and schedule engaging content including videos, stories, testimonials, and lesson highlights

Capture live photos/videos during lessons and events (with parent permission)

Monitor comments, messages, and reviews; respond in a timely and professional manner

Track engagement and prepare basic monthly reports

📧 Email Marketing & Communication

Develop and send weekly email updates to families (newsletters, promos, event invites)

Maintain organized email lists and segment contacts as needed

Create automated email campaigns for new leads and customer retention

🤝 Community Engagement & Outreach

Coordinate school, daycare, and community partnerships for outreach and referral programs

Represent British Swim School at local events (fairs, expos, school nights)

Plan and promote fundraisers, donation drives, and “giving back” programs

Develop and host family engagement events such as theme weeks, family swim nights, and photo contests

Deliver flyers to local businesses and distribute promotional materials in high-traffic areas

🛠️ Administrative & Brand Support

Maintain branded materials and visuals across all platforms

Work with management to support seasonal promotions and track their effectiveness

Suggest and implement creative engagement strategies to strengthen customer relationships

Qualifications:

1+ year experience in social media marketing, community outreach, or event coordination

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Canva, Meta Business Suite, and email platforms (HubSpot.)

Organized, creative, and detail-oriented with a passion for connecting with families

Comfortable attending community events on evenings/weekends

Prior experience with family-focused brands or educational programs is a plus
