Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Facility at Robins AFB. This position does not offer benefits. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to Services activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within Services, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing results. Keeps the Marketing Director informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations on program modifications and enhancements. Attends major Services Squadron events and provides constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. Assist in conducting advertising campaigns. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Make recommendations to activity managers on the design of effective advertising vehicles and appropriate media mix. Assist in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in Services activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Assists in conducting media relations with on- and off-base media in concert with the Public Affairs Office. Provides or arranges for photographic support for Services functions. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as Newcomer's Orientation and Commander's Call. Assists with Commercial Sponsorship and Commercial Advertising. Compiles list of viable annual events and programs to seek commercial sponsorship. Assists in the development of solicitation packet and solicit sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors. Negotiates mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executes all supporting documents. Coordinates with the installation's Staff Judge Advocate to ensure the terms of each sponsorship agreement follows all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Ensures AF and sponsor compliance with sponsorship agreement. Attends events and serve as a point of contact for sponsors at the event. Compiles and provides sponsors with copies of subsequent publicity and develops appropriate thank-you letters and after-action reports. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising program. Website, social media, email/text campaigns, and other digital marketing programs for the 78th Force Support Squadron (78FSS). Works under the direction of the Marketing Director to help plan, develop (construct), deploy, and maintain 78th Force Support Squadron website, digital content, social media content development and management. Assists with creation of marketing collateral, surveys, graphics, photography/videography and campaigns. Using highly developed organizational skills, serves as primary web/social media and digital content administrator, ensuring content is current and accurate, sites/profiles are functional and operational 24/7; Updates, adds, deletes, backups/restores, and revises content based on information provided by the Marketing Office or approved input from leadership on daily basis. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Degree with emphasis in business, marketing, communications and/or web design is strongly desired. Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information. Skilled in Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Lightroom, PremierPro, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft applications. Efficient DSLR camera/video. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
