Your New Role
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing and Publicity Associate responsibilities include supporting the Marketing & Publicity teams in the delivery of campaigns, monthly highlights, asset support across media, partners and YouTube, Facebook promoting WBD’s flagship Pay TV brands across Australia and New Zealand.
This work is a critical factor for the smooth operation of the ANZ WBD Marketing and Publicity departments and the attainment of its goals which contribute to the long-term growth of the company.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn about marketing and publicity in the film and television industry.
At the core of the role, the Marketing and Publicity Associate supports the Marketing team by taking ownership for critical operational and revenue driving administrative tasks that are essential in order to deliver on all aspects of the agreed marketing strategy and partnerships for Pay TV.
You will also manage, co-ordinate and execute designated tasks on a consistent basis to ensure publicity campaigns are delivered on time, to media and to the highest standard.
The role will work closely with multiple departments and stakeholders, so a collaborative mindset and ability to problem solve is essential.
Key Areas of Focus
Merchandising
Work closely with programming on the distribution of key art images and video assets for all Pay TV WBD VOD titles across the partner platforms (including Foxtel, Fetch and Sky NZ)
Marketing
Support in the delivery of assets and confirmation of programming for the running and significant direct revenue of the YouTube channels and Facebook pages across Pay TV.
Ad Sales
Provide assistance for 3rd party sales, trade marketing and publicity (Ad Sales Partner primarily Foxtel Media) support includes gathering of programme information and coordination of creative collateral – images, trailers across Pay TV.
Publicity
Collate, assess, write, and distribute monthly publicity highlights for Pay TV brands across ANZ.
Gather and file imagery for programmes and talent across ANZ Pay TV brands as required
Respond to media requests providing accurate and timely programming information, imagery or screeners for Pay TV.
Support the publicity team when required.
Reporting
Collate post coverage reports for publicity campaigns and weekly internal media reports of secured press with a focus on Pay TV
Collaboration
Support and collaborate with members of the WBD publicity and marketing team and stakeholders including, content, programming, legal, and external agency partners to support key marketing and publicity priorities.
Contribute to the development of campaign strategies. Be an active participant in brainstorm sessions, share thoughts and feedback.
Qualities Required:
Independent thinker with a strategic mindset. Able to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
Strong in PowerPoint, excel, word and outlook.
Basic experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro would be desirable.
Exceptional levels of commitment and passion.
Experience with media databases (ie. Campaign Monitor) and media monitoring tools (ie. Streem) not essential but advantageous
Dynamic personality, adaptable, a high degree of professionalism.
Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player able to work with colleagues across multiple locations & time zones
Understanding of the local media landscape
High attention to detail.
Able to work readily and easily with many different personalities in a highly matrixed and international structure.
