The Marketing and Events Sales Manager main duty is to sell and manage the event spaces and overall vendor management of the space. This individual will provide exemplary customer service and event planning management according to JLL Experience Management and client standards. The Marketing and Sales Manager is also responsible for contract management, accurate reports detailing client requests and billing of services to client, financial reporting, maintenance of website, coordination of vendors and management of the Conference Center team.
The ideal candidate has a hospitable and creative personality reinforced with an exceptional business acumen and tech-savviness. This position will not only plan meetings and professional conferences, but also exciting social and networking events. Additionally, this position will help with managing the property app, manage property social media accounts, and create internal marketing collateral.
Another goal for this position is to provide exemplary concierge services for tenants and building management by serving as an informational resource for the property in ways that may include arranging events, meetings, services, gifts and reservations.
Marketing and Sales
Act as the primary sales leadDevelop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategiesManage lead generation efforts and close high-value business opportunitiesEstablish a centralized sales pipeline and forecasting systemSet and achieve sales targets for each site and the overall portfolioIdentify new business opportunities and expand into untapped marketsEvent Management
Manage the day-to-day operation of conference center events including corporate, social, and non-profit events, and internal meetingsConduct client meet and greet prior to event as well as post event follow up as directedMaintain vendor relationships, agreements and certificates of insuranceResponsible for the supervision of the Conference Center staff and vendor staff, providing daily support and management of job performanceManage staff to meet JLL Experience Management, and contracted client’s expectationProvide training in JLL Experience Management policies and proceduresCounsels and coaches team members regarding unsatisfactory performance, including recommendation of termination when appropriateAssist clients with onsite event coordination including, but not limited to catering, hotel accommodations, decorations, etc.Attend monthly networking events (i.e. Meet Boston, ILEA, etc).Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to ownership & property managementAdministration and Contract File Administration
Coordinate labor for events including janitorial and security and loading dock scheduleBe knowledgeable of the conference center audio visual equipment and its operation as well as maintain and secure equipmentKeep up to date status of all contracts for events, preferred vendors, non-preferred vendors, etc.Distributes inner office memos as directed Coordinates with building staff as needed (Security, Janitorial, Engineering)Secure insurance certificates (COI) as directedFile all correspondence as directedConfirm client full payment is received prior to all eventsGeneral Event Planning Services
Handle all event planning requests in a timely mannerSee planning through from beginning to end to ensure that they run smoothlyBe proactive to provide follow-up, updates and status on all requests in a timely mannerOther concierge-related requests, as neededOther reports, duties, meetings as neededCommunity Manager Support and Onsite Vendor Management
Support onsite Community Manager with Tenant Engagement EventsSupport in creative brainstorming as neededSupport in event execution as needed Manage onsite vendors in tandem with Community Manager (F&B, Fitness, etc.)Job Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Four-year degree preferred or partial degree with life experience5+ years’ experience in event industry. Hospitality, or related field is desirable.3-5 years’ experience direct event planningConference Center management, highly recommendedSuperior knowledge of local dining, entertainment venues, and ability to match client desires to the appropriate venueDirect hotel/catering/event sales and marketing experience preferably coming from the hospitality industry with 3-5 years’ experience.Experience in management of employees.Must be able to develop and evaluate Event Revenue Summaries.Must have experience developing and leading marketing activities to include website development.Candidates with outside sales experience and cold calling is a plus.Must have high proficiency in MS Excel and other spreadsheets, experience with CRMs, i.e. Salesforce, Caterease, etc.Location:
