What You Will Do
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing the entity's communication strategies. This position involves creating engaging content for internal and external audiences. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will also assist with media relations and manage Sharp social media presence, ensuring alignment with Sharp brand and strategic goals. Additionally, this role will support department initiatives and project objectives and help manage timelines and deliverables.

Essential Functions
Works with team to develop and pitch story ideas to the media.
Writes press releases and media alerts.
Contributes to Sharp online newsroom and monthly media tip sheet.Internal and External Communications
Writes various internal and external communications as needed.
Takes photos as needed for internal and external communications.
Proofreads all materials to ensure accuracy and Sharp writing style.
Oversees and monitors way finding and signage for the entity.Maintain Online Communications
Writes and monitors social media.
Manages social media activity calendar.
Attends system digital content/social media meetings and contributes ideas and content for Sharp HealthCare and entity social media pages.
Develops and writes posts for entity Facebook page, including photography and video assets.Special Events, Patient Seminars and Outreach
Coordinates special events, community Zoom seminars and other outreach activities.
Partners with cross-departmental teams to plan and implement events, including employee and physician recognition events, celebrations and more.Marketing Responsibilities
Design marketing materials, including flyers, newsletters, social media graphics, and other visual content, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines
Provides entity marketing and communications team with general marketing support.
Manages timelines for department initiative and special projects as assigned.
