Market Segment Manager Aerospace & Defence EMEA

Work Location: This role is open to applicants residing in any of the following EMEA countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, or Serbia.

We are looking for a Market Segment Manager Aerospace & Defence responsible for increasing demand creation, revenue and gross profit for Avnet Silica in the assigned area of responsibility in EMEA.

This role is responsible for the development of a given Vertical Market Avnet Silica wants to further develop and will focus on the individual End Market Sub Application which generate the highest growth potential for Avnet Silica.

                                                                                               

What You Will Be Doing:

Develop the Go-To-Market-Plan for Aerospace & DefenseCoordinate and work together with the related regional Aerospace & Defence Team to implement the plan at target customersClear understanding of market trends and requirements to identify fast growing target sub segments. Defining the target customers base (Customer Explorer) in alignment with Aerospace & Defence segment.Work out potential solutions for these sub segments in close cooperation with the Specialist and Technology Team.Align with the Supplier Development Team on the supplier focusProviding Biz Cases and ROI analysisDriving the activities in alignment with Sales & Technical Teams. Joint customer visits at defined target customers to drive strategic approach                 Build up or extend relationships to key decision makers in the relevant End Markets/Sub Segments. Understanding the Macro Environment and the ECO-SystemSharing best practice and success stories to multiply success. Providing technical articles / interviewsParticipation on fairs and seminars to understand market developmentsClose contact to relevant standardization committeesIdentify new and fast growing markets which Avnet Silica should invest onDevelop and align the Go-To-Market-Strategy and Investment PlanCoordinate regional Aerospace & Defense Team and support in day2day (dotted-line)

                                               

What We Are Looking For:

Degree in Engineering (M.Sc. / B.Sc or equivalent)7+ years' experience preferably within a sales and development driven environment in the electronics and semiconductors industry4+ years' experience in a technical support role (FAE) or R&D role (preferably software and hardware related)Semiconductors product and hardware/software engineering in-depth knowledgeStrong relationship attitude at all levels                    Excellent facilitation abilities (presentations, meetings, workshops, etc.) and communication skillsGood verbal and written English                  Skilled in using MS Office, Project Management tools and SAP based design registration moduleWillingness to travel
