Market Research Analyst – Research & Design Team -Carmel, IN (Hybrid)
Work Schedule Requirements:

Position Overview:
Join Allegion’s growing Research & Design team and play a key role in delivering high-quality market research insights that drive business decisions around new product development, marketing, pricing, branding, and other strategic initiatives.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Research Analyst with strong expertise in both primary quantitative and qualitative primary research to design and execute studies and translate findings into actionable insights.
What You Will Do:
Support the execution of both quantitative and qualitative primary market research projects from inception through final deliverables.
Apply best practices in market research methodology, sampling, and analytics to ensure data quality and integrity.
Develop research instruments such as questionnaires and discussion guides tailored to project goals.
Manage data collection processes, ensuring high-quality and reliable data from diverse sources.
Assist in vendor selection and management for external research services.
Analyze quantitative data using statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel) and conduct qualitative analysis including thematic coding and synthesis of interview and focus group findings.
Translate complex data into clear, concise reports and presentations with actionable recommendations.
Create visually compelling charts, tables, and graphics; prepare reports and assist with presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (industrial design, marketing, product, sales) to align research with business objectives.
Conduct secondary research using internal and external sources to support primary research efforts.
Stay current on market research best practices, tools, and methodologies.
What You Need to Succeed:
Very strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity.
Passion for understanding customer behaviors and motivations and how they impact business strategies.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed organization.
Flexible and open to feedback, adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and internal clients.
Minimal travel may be required
Additional qualifications for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Research, Business, Statistics, Psychology, or related field required. MBA preferred.
3-5+ years of professional market research experience with a strong focus on both quantitative and qualitative primary research, either client-side or with an external research vendor.
Expertise in complex survey design and sampling methodologies.
Proficiency with statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and survey platforms (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
Experience working with sample vendors and employing the latest methodologies for ensuring sample integrity.
Skilled in multi-variate statistical analyses and interpreting and synthesizing complex data sets.
Experienced in conducting and analyzing focus groups, interviews, and other qualitative research methods.
Experienced in creating compelling visual analytics and infographics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
