The Market Development Representative (MDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying leads to drive new business opportunities. This role focuses on outbound prospecting, re-engaging dormant accounts, and identifying customer needs to ensure a seamless handoff to sales teams. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and skilled at initiating meaningful conversations with potential clients to expand the company’s market share.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business or a related field preferred.Experience: 2–3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, with experience in outbound prospecting.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with potential clients.Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead management processes.Basic understanding of the industry and company’s products/services.Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient in a fast-paced environmentProspecting and Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential customers and re-engage dormant accounts.Lead Qualification: Assess and qualify leads based on predetermined criteria to determine their fit for sales opportunities.Re-engagement: Contact customers who have not had recent transactions or communication to reignite interest and build relationships.Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system, ensuring leads are properly documented and followed up.Collaborate with Sales Teams: Handoff qualified leads to Territory Managers providing detailed notes and insights for follow-up.Market Research: Identify key trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to refine outreach strategies.Pipeline Development: Actively contribute to building a robust sales pipeline by generating high-quality leads.Performance Metrics: Consistently meet or exceed KPIs, including outreach volume, qualified lead generation, and conversion rates.
