Hospital Sisters Health System is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead our Southern Illinois Market. The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare financial leader that is comfortable managing in a matrix environment with a proven track record in successfully managing all financial operations of a region of multiple acute care. This leader will hold direct responsibility for the financial operations and be the driver of financial excellence for the market. Additionally, the Market CFO will have strong involvement with the communities they serve. This leader will report directly to the Southern Illinois Market President & CEO with matrixed reporting to the HSHS Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer.Market structure:
• Four Illinois HSHS Hospitals
• Based in O’Fallon, Illinois – relocation to the market is highly preferred.
• Matrixed reporting to Market and System leadership teams.

• Salary Range: $280,500 – 330,000
*A successful candidate's placement within the range will be based on several factors including direct healthcare CFO experience, certifications, and education.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• Ten or more years of accounting and/or finance experience is required; four out of the ten years must be in a hospital system or hospital market setting.
*Backgrounds outside of healthcare will not be considered.
• Master’s degree in finance, business, health care administration, or related field is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• Experience with an employed physician group and/or ACO is highly preferred.

o Licensed beds – 144
o 5000 surgical cases annually
o 9K admission annually
o 35K ER visits
• St. Joseph’s Hospital – Breese:
o Licensed beds – 50
o 2,000 surgical cases annually

o 7K ER visits annually
• St. Joseph’s Hospital – Highland:
o Licensed beds – 25
o 1,5000 surgical cases annually
o 1K admissions annually
o 7K ER visits annually
• Holy Family Hospital:
o Licensed beds – 8
o 600 surgical cases annually
o 500K admission annually
o 5K ER visits

Education QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university is required. Master’s degree in finance, business, health care administration, or related field is preferred. Experience QualificationsTen (10) or more years of accounting and/or finance experience is required; four (4) out of the ten (10) years must be in a hospital system or hospital market setting.
