Market & Category Insights Analyst
**Meaningful Work From Day One:** With the strategic realignment of selected and aspiring brands in our global portfolio, called "Emerging Brands", we want to give more attention to our single malt Scotch Whiskeys BenRiach and The GlenDronach as well as Fords Gin, our newcomer in the German portfolio, and significantly expand these great brands - in addition to our flagship JACK DANIEL'S. For this exciting task, we are looking for reinforcement for our team. The position of the Channel Analyst is a supporting role for the analyses and reports of Brown-Forman on- and off-trade as well as e-commerce activities in Germany. Aligned with the target to develop an excellent market, channel and shopper understanding within the Brown-Forman organization this position supports in providing all market research information needed across all relevant channels, esp. in off trade, e-Commerce and on-trade. For this reason it is essential to cooperate very closely with Brand Marketing, IMC, Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance and regional/BBI resources. **What You Can Expect?** The role encompasses the responsibility for the full local market, category and channel assessment and insights generation by supporting the Senior Market and Category Insights Manager and providing profound data analyses and research. Key function in this role encompasses: Market & Category understanding: + Continuous analysis of market data such as retail scanner data e.g. Nielsen as well as data and information about on-trade and ecommerce + Build insightful market and channel reports and enforce their automation + Tracking of market trends of spirits categories, our brands and the B-F competition in the specific channels and customers + Help identify key shopper trends in the spirits industry in Germany across different channels + Support research projects about the market, categories, shoppers and channels + Support monthly performance management cycle and annual brand planning process by providing understanding of latest market, category and channel developments, issues & opportunities + Proactively support Trade Marketing and Brand Management teams with category, shopper and channel insights in their daily business + Share and seek for information and thinking with key stakeholders in the local company and within the European Insights community Sales support: + Support the development of the annual negotiation material for sales teams + Analyse sales performance of Brown-Forman customers and channels to identify opportunities + Provide Trade Marketing with relevant information to help develop sell-in stories for key accounts + evaluate trade marketing and price promotions + Support exploration of channels like on-trade and e-commerce through data analyses + Ad-hoc analysis on customer specific questions that go beyond sales analyst capabilities + Support KAM in building their stories for customer visits + Support Senior Market & Category Insights Manager in building a Category, Shopper and Channel Insights Knowledge Centre **What You Bring to the Table?** + A Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience + Several years of experience in Category Management or Sales Analytics + Experience with Off- and On-Trade channel and market research or/and FMCG experience + Good German market knowledge (consumer, food retail (LEH)) + Business Acumen & entrepreneurial thinking + Strong analytic and strategic understanding + Fluent in German and English + Proficient at Microsoft Office products **What makes you unique:** + Good knowledge of Off- and On-Trade channel & customers + First experiences with e-commerce + Quantitative research skills and understanding of / exposure to qualitative research + Excellent Office and Research IT Tools skills + IT literate, relevant Nielsen, IRI, GfK research applications, Drotax or similar **Who We Are** We believe great people build great brands.
