Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Market Branch Manager in our La Porte , TX location. This location sells Industrial pipe, valves, and fittings. Join us and lead our branch to new heights with your proven leadership and sales skills!

Role Overview

As the Market Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team to become the "Best Local Supply House" by aligning sales strategy with customer experience and fostering strong local relationships. You will ensure sales goals are met, drive customer satisfaction, develop associates, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. Through effective leadership, you will cultivate a positive culture and steer the branch toward growth and market leadership.

Position Details

Reports to Dean RittimannDirect oversight of 60 to 70 associatesThis position leads operations of a high-volume market branch, which services the greater Houston area as well as services the satellite branches. Total market revenue typically exceeds $100M+ annually.

Responsibilities

Lead operations of a high-volume market branchCoach and develop team within Branch and become the mayor of the market  Focus on growing sales and customer relationships, developing their associates, delivering excellent service, and taking pride in running a clean, safe facility.Deliver and collaborate to reach sales goals in line with budget expectationsDrive P&L performance through effective execution of sales strategies, operational efficiencies, and market development plansBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and associates to support growth and retentionCultivate a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and promoting team engagementIdentify skill gaps and provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities to build a promotable talent pipelineEnsure prompt and informed decision-making to meet customer needs and resolve operational challenges

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of sales, management, and industry experience preferredShown success in leading  large teams across complex branch operationsDemonstrated experience in P&L management and sales leadership within a dynamic, customer-focused environmentStrong financial competence and the ability to analyze and act on performance metricsHistory of building engaged high-performing teams through consistent coaching and developmentAbility to assess and close skill gaps through structured training and performance planningStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a focus on collaboration and accountabilityMust align with the local market, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer and team dynamics

Pay Range:

$9,875.00 - $15,800.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
