Market Access Manager

Mission Purpose

Design and implement a Pricing and Market Access (MA) strategy aimed at establishing long-term partnerships with health authorities and payer stakeholders. The objective is to ensure that eligible patients receive timely access to appropriate medicines (based on approved indications) within the reimbursement system and hospital settings, at a fair and sustainable price.

Identify and capitalize on opportunities that facilitate access to the local market.

Prepare essential documentation and strategic deliverables to support product access and secure the inclusion of Sanofi products in positive registration and reimbursement lists.

Lead the development and execution of strategic market access plans for the assigned portfolio within the Algerian affiliate.

Key Activities

Ensure alignment between market access strategies and overall business priorities, integrating MA into operational plans in collaboration with regional MA leads, the affiliate pricing manager, and relevant departments (e.g., Business Units, Trade).

Analyze the local payer landscape and develop a tailored market access approach.

Maintain up-to-date expertise in scientific, clinical, and commercial developments relevant to the product portfolio.

Align local MA strategies with global and regional frameworks to ensure readiness:

Provide input into strategic, operational, and financial forecasting for local products.

Support Business Units and Public Affairs in reviewing business cases and MA plans for local and regional validation.

Contribute to the preparation of registration and reimbursement dossiers.

Assist in the development of pre-submission (FIT) and registration documents.

Coordinate local access strategies with global commercial and Global MA functions to ensure a consistent value narrative and timely deployment of local tools.

Collaborate with global and regional teams to define and implement access-supporting projects, including:

Adaptation of health economic models.

Local epidemiological data analysis.

Payer landscape and competitor intelligence.

Other relevant factors influencing pricing and reimbursement strategies.

Build and maintain strong engagement with payers and key stakeholders.

Lead and manage Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) activities to ensure high-quality value communication aligned with payer expectations.

Role Scope

Responsible for market access activities related to the assigned product area(s).

Act as a strategic leader in collaboration with local brand teams to define and communicate the value proposition to key customers.

Provide strategic market access proposals aligned with local, regional, and global guidance.

Identify, assess, and leverage risks and opportunities arising from regulatory changes and evolving market dynamics.

Required Qualifications

Skills

Proven experience in project management.

Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and analytical skills to adapt global insights and messaging into locally relevant payer access strategies.

Ability to analyze and interpret business and medical data effectively.

In-depth understanding of the pricing and reimbursement landscape, including government and payer review processes.

Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong written and spoken English skills.

Education & Professional Experience

Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field, with additional expertise in Health Economics or a similar discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with solid knowledge of its operations.

Prior experience in Market Access and Health Economics within the pharmaceutical sector is highly valued.

Specific Requirements

Language proficiency: French and English.

Ability to anticipate and deliver MAx plans on time.

Timely support for business cases.

Timely contribution to pre-submission dossiers (FIT) and registration dossiers.
