Role Summary:
Based in Limassol, Cyprus, the Marine Superintendent will support the safe day-to-day operations of cruise vessels, ensuring full compliance with international maritime regulations and internal policies. This is a key liaison role between ship and shore, focused on strengthening the company’s safety culture and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and support compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, and other applicable maritime legislation. Conduct shipboard safety audits, inspections, and drills; ensure proper SMS implementation. Assist ship teams with voyage planning, risk assessments, and safety-related operational decisions. Lead or participate in incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventive actions. Work closely with shipboard management and onshore departments to promote a strong and consistent safety culture. Stay updated on maritime regulatory changes and ensure timely fleet compliance. Coordinate with Flag States, Class Societies, and Port State Control authorities as required. Provide safety-related training, guidance, and mentoring to onboard personnel. Participate in internal safety reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate Profile:
Seagoing experience in a senior deck position (e.g. Chief Officer, Safety Officer, Staff Captain) on cruise ships is essential. Previous shoreside experience in a safety, compliance, or DPA function is a strong advantage. In-depth knowledge of international maritime safety regulations and SMS frameworks. Confident communicator with strong collaboration and influencing skills. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus. Willingness to travel internationally, including ship visits and inspections. Must have the legal right to live and work in the EU.
