Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience plus $150/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:        

Install and maintain ships piping systems such as; steam, heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure and oil lines Reading blueprints, layouts and work orders Working with hand tools and shop machines Plan layout of pipe sections, cuts and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipes Operate shop machines to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings including; valves, traps and thermostats Bend pipe to specified shapeBolt on pipe bending fixturesBolt or weld brackets to support pipe systems Connect pipes to fixtures such as heat exchangers, laundry and galley equipment, pumps, tanks and other ship equipment Repair packs and adjust valves Test installed systems for leaks and ensure systems meet specifications Perform other related tasks assigned 

 

Requirements Must have OSHA 10, Maritime and Firewatch Certifications Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check Must be able to obtain DBIDS High school diploma or equivalent education Preferred 2+ years of on the job training in pipefitting or 3+ years of experience is required  Company Details
