Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Carpenters for projects located in and around Gulf Shores, AL. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range fo $30-37/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Furniture and cabinet construction and installation
Deck repair and new deck installation
Fitting and installation of interior appliances
Veneer installation and finishing
Assessing job requirements and time estimates prior to starting
Assigning parts/purchases to appropriate vessel/job tickets
Accurately logging time per job in timekeeping system
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Cross-functional support in other crafts such as paint and fiberglass as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of Marine Carpentry experience
Familiarity with exotic woods such as teak, holly, and mahogany
Strong understanding of marine construction materials and techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
Proficiency with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment
Must possess personal hand tools
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Physically able to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs/scaffolding on land and on vessels
High school diploma or equivalent
Must pass a Drug Screen, Background Check and pre-employment physical
Valid driver’s license required
