Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Michael Foods, Inc., located in Bloomfield, Nebraska, is one of our only cage free facilities. The facility is located three miles outside of Northeast Nebraska's busiest community. Bloomfield is a haven for those who prefer small-town life over city living and is located less than 30 miles from recreation areas where you can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and camping. Our location produces liquid egg product that is sent to our other facilities for further processing. Responsibilities JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Timely and efficient removal of poultry waste. Cleaning the rollers, scrapers, feeder covers, belt rods and under the row ends. Cleaning out the manure pit and drop rooms weekly or as needed. Sweeping up the floor in the back of the house after running the belts. Aligning and tightening of all manure belts, row belt front and back-cross incline. Notifying the house person of water leaks and the location. For example: Row 3, How Many Feet, Level, etc. Watching the belts as they run to make sure there are no torn belts. Immediately notify maintenance of any torn belts. Responsible at all times for following and enforcing the Bio-Security Policy. Maintaining all poultry waste equipment. Operate tractor, spreader, honey wagon and water wagon Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: No prior experience or training. Experience: Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. Licenses, certificates, registrations: Must possess a valid driver’s license Other skills and abilities: A Free of any breathing or asthmatic conditions, dusty and aromatic conditions prevail. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Self motivated with a willingness to learn. Ability to communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
