Job Summary

Description

The Trainer will organize, facilitate, and deliver training programs for manufacturing personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee training on various skill, policy, and compliance areasResearches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficialEvaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changesDesigns, drafts, and/or acquires new training materialsAdministers, scores, and logs results of qualification, learning assessment, and retention tests; arranges retraining or other appropriate action for insufficient scoresFacilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms (if needed); scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasksPerforms other related duties, as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong presentation skillsAdept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methodsAbility to design and implement effective trainingProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software

Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience delivering personnel training Experience working with a manufacturing or construction environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor
