Opportunity Overview As Manufacturing Test Technician, you will be working closely with our technical teams to test and calibrate photonics products, ensuring every unit meets specification and performance standards before release. Your role will involve hands-on product testing, failure analysis, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing colleagues to drive quality and efficiency. In this role, you will work closely with the Manufacturing and NPI teams to ensure every product released meets exacting standards for performance, functionality, and quality. + Test and calibrate high-performance photonics products according to internal specifications + Use in-house Python scripts to automate testing and collect calibration data + Record, analyse and interpret test results to assess product quality + Assemble mechanical or electrical components as part of the testing process + Update and maintain product and test databases + Troubleshoot failed units and assist with RMA (returned product) analysis + Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes + Conduct routine maintenance on test stations and identify equipment that needs calibration + Monitor stock levels of testing tools and accessories All About You We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position. + A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Photonics, or related field + 1+ years of experience in product development, product automation, or testing environments + Practical experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. + Intermediate to advanced Python skills (essential) + Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and system-level troubleshooting + High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work + Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving + Strong time management and organisational skills + A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn new technologies We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
