As test and calibration engineer you are responsible for ensuring accuracy, functionality and performance of primarily electronic testing within the company and at our suppliers. In the role you actively drive and optimize design for test (DFT) and Design for Assembly. You drive continuous improvements to enhance product reliability and optimize test processes.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Ensure that the hardware and software are also suitable for product testing at Emerson sites.
+ Develop and maintain hardware and software for electronic testing (FCT) at electronic suppliers. This includes crafting programmer interfaces, relay boxes, and other vital equipment.
+ Provide support to electronic suppliers and perform updates on FCT systems as needed.
+ Develop and maintain processes and instructions related to test development and calibration to ensure consistency and accuracy.
+ Actively engage in Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities to improve the testability and manufacturability of products.
+ Represent Operations in discussions on calibrating level instruments and production test equipment, including measuring ranges and calibration stations.
+ Develop guidelines for Gage RnR (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and capability studies to ensure quality and reliability.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge through experience.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and at least 3-5 years’ experience in electronic hardware development and testing.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team effort environment.
+ Ability to transform theoretical knowledge into the implementation of smart solutions.
+ Proficient in Swedish & English both spoken and writtenMedium Object-oriented Programming skills (ie VB.NET or similar)
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apar** t:
• Cadence Allegro (or similar electronics cad application)
• Minitab Statistical Software (or similar)
