Northrop Grumman’s **Weapon System Division** in Northridge, CA is seeking a highly motivated **Manufacturing Technician** to support our **Advanced Weapons** production and development program. The technician will work closely with manufacturing engineer, quality, and production personnel to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. **The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.** **Key responsibilities:** + Support manufacturing engineers in executing build instructions, process improvements, and production trails. + Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues on the shop floor, including mechanical and electrical assemblies. + Execute tests and collect data on process yield, equipment performance and product quality. + Assist with updates to assembly instruction, routers, and standard work documents under direction of manufacturing engineering. + Support the execution and documentation of non-conformance disposition (MRB/NC). + Help develop and validate tooling, fixtures, and equipment setups. + Maintain and organize production tooling, fixtures and work instructions. + Provide feedback to engineers on manufacturability and suggest process optimizations. + Support Learn, 5S and process improvement activities across the production floor. **Basic Qualification:** + High school Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of experience in manufacturing environment + Ability to ready and interpret mechanical drawing, work instruction and specification. + Familiar with basic hand tools, torque tools, calipers and other measurement devices. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work hands- on in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment. + U.S citizenship is required; must be able to obtain a security clearance. **Preferred Qualification:** + Prior experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing. + Familiarity with ERP system (such as Cost point) and MES. + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and root cause/corrective action processes. + Experience working with special test equipment (STE), assembly of complex electro-mechanical system, or supporting environmental/ functional test. + Active Secret clearance Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
