ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles complex devices per customer specifications using complicated, lengthy visual aidsVisual aids detail dozens of steps requiring constant attention and precision Completes complex rework processes when applicableVisual aids may reference other visual aids or processes that must be accessed and followed while building the unit. Tasks may be difficult and time consuming due to:dozens of complicated processes per unittrimming, clamping, labeling, coiling, measuring of various items used to build productthe requirement to maintain neatness within the unitdifferent items may look similar tasks may require both hands be used at the same time, interim steps must be completed e.g. add cable tie to stabilize area and then remove cable tie after task completeditems may be small and numerous and must be added to build in a specific orderunits may weigh up to 48 pounds, most weighing between 10 and 30 poundssome units are small and multiple, delicate, precise actions must be performed to successfully complete required tasksUtilizes manual and automated lifting devices to lift heavy units while adhering to product safety specificationsReplenishes, organizes, and maintains parts inventory; orders parts as needed to fill customer commitsReports scrap Reports downtime and updates Manufacturing Metrics as applicableMaintains clean and organized work area using 5s principlesActively participates in team activities and projects, communicates effectively to team, attends team meetings Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBasic reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 8th grade level).
Basic PC skills required (i.e., keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows).
Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for long periods
PHYSICAL DEMANDSStanding required 100% of the time
Repeated bending, twisting, grasping, reaching and fine hand motor movement throughout shift
Frequently required to walk, bend, lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
Close vision for inspection of finished product, reading drawings, prints, visual aids etc. and extended use of a computer monitor screen
Wearing of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required on manufacturing floor, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom and shipping areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork area is on the Manufacturing floor
Noise level is normally moderate
Exposure to machinery with moving parts and high temperature surfaces
Occasional exposure to low dust/dirt and chemical fumes
