Manufacturing Technician II
Join a top team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manufacturing Technician II. Work on ambitious projects, ensuring flawless manufacturing and testing of products.
Responsibilities
Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components with precision and accuracy.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
Use standard electronic assembly and testing equipment, including soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, and torque tools.
Maintain strict adherence to quality management systems and safety programs.
Collaborate with team members to successfully implement production schedules and meet manufacturing goals.
Conduct inspections using optical microscopes and SEM or FIB tools.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience assembling and solving complex electrical and mechanical components and systems problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in an Electronics or Technology field and/or 5 years of related experience.
Experience in a production environment, particularly following standard operating procedures and manufacturing schedules.
Skills & Abilities
Strong work ethic and social skills.
Fluently speak, read, and write English.
Capable of lifting 35 pounds unassisted.
Ability to work sitting or standing for extended periods.
Visual acuity and hand/eye coordination to manipulate and test small components.
Diligent, a self-starter, and can work with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
