Job Title: Manufacturing Technician II
Working hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.30pm
Job Purpose:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are seeking an ambitious Manufacturing Technician II to join our world-class team in the United Kingdom. This role is vital in ensuring flawless manufacturing processes and in-process testing of in-vitro diagnostic devices. You will help maintain allocated equipment and adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the quality and timely delivery of our products.
Working Environment:
Based at Calthorpe Road, this role involves working within our dynamic manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with internal teams including Quality Engineering, Technical Support, and Materials Handling, and interact with external auditors to ensure outstanding operational standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct manufacturing processes and in-process testing according to SOPs.
Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring flawless documentation.
Apply the ERP system for inventory transactions and document management.
Archive documents accurately and ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
Plan and prioritize workload effectively with mentorship from your line manager.
Report any failures and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
Education:
Essential:
Grade C/5 or above in GCSE in Maths, English, and Science (or equivalent)
Desirable:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific subject
A Levels in appropriate subject (or equivalent)
Professional laboratory experience
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
Experience working in a team
Experience working to deadlines
Desirable:
Previous laboratory experience
Knowledge of Health & Safety (e.g., COSHH)
Knowledge of Quality System Requirements (e.g., ISO 13485)
