**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials **Job Description** **Position/Location Specific Information** + Manufacturing Technician II, Second Shift, LVLM + This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group. + The scheduled shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 2nd Shift 2:30-11:00pm **What will you do?** + Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment. + Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities. + Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting for equipment. + Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms. + Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements. + Complete moderately complex tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements. **How will you get there?** **Education** + High school diploma or equivalent is required. + Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred. **Experience** + Required: Minimum of 1 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field + Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:** + Follow multi-step instructions and document accurately for safety and quality. + Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes and adept at identifying practical process improvements. + Proficiency in completing and training others effectively to accomplish department’s processes. **Physical Requirements / Work Environment** + Capable of lifting, moving up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, squatting, bending, and reaching during tasks. + Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (if necessary), safety glasses, and gloves.
