Job Title: Manufacturing Technician-EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician-Engineer with a focus on shipping and packaging assembly. This role involves participating in process and manufacturing teams to implement sustainable packaging solutions and improvements. Responsibilities + Participate in the implementation of the NAM Primary Packaging Roadmap as directed by the PP/PS Sustainability Team. + Conduct research and studies to determine which sustainable packaging products are best suited for implementation at the local site. + Coordinate formalized testing of sustainable materials at laboratories. + Collaborate with manufacturing, process, and procurement teams to implement new sustainable materials. + Lead local teams to ensure all aspects of the project are implemented successfully. + Physically assist with label changes, warehouse modifications, workstation modifications, and bin changes as necessary. + Research and procure new fixtures, tools, bins, and workstations. + Provide hypercare for new sustainable materials and resolve issues with new implementations. + Assist with reporting project updates and completions to the PP/PS Sustainability team. + Conduct financial impact analyses, including cost and cycle time analysis for each project. + Assist with modifications to work instructions and document technical and generic specifications of the packaging process. + Ensure assembly process deliverables align with global assembly process practices. + Coordinate and assist with equipment installations and validations. Essential Skills + Experience in manufacturing engineering. + Experience in packaging engineering. + Project management skills. + Process improvement capabilities. + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. + 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of line layout and continuous improvement. + Experience with packaging line management. Work Environment This position is based in Lexington and requires up to 30% travel. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 1st shift, with not much overtime potential. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.90 - $37.86/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
