Manufacturing Technician - Electronics
Siemens
At Siemens, we turn ideas into innovations that shape industries and improve lives. Right here in Yatala, we're proud to operate Australia’s only Siemens manufacturing facility, where technology meets craftsmanship, to deliver world-class products. We're currently looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to join our hands-on team supporting production, engineering, and customer success.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a globally respected company, while contributing locally at a highly specialised site in Queensland.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Electronics Technician, you’ll be a go-to expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex electronics issues. Your role will span:
• Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) • Performing soldering (both SMT and through-hole) and hands-on circuit repairs • Building and maintaining custom test rigs, and ensuring test equipment is regularly calibrated • Supporting the shopfloor IT environment including test PCs, printers, and barcode scanners • Assisting engineers in research and development activities—prototyping, testing, and assembling electronics for new products • Investigating returned products and supporting root cause analysis on customer issues
You’ll work closely with a collaborative team of Technicians, Engineers, and Production Specialists, with the chance to expand your skills across technical domains.
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electronics or related industry • Strong understanding of electronics diagnostics, circuit testing, and fault finding • Competent with soldering, wiring, reading schematics, and building electronic assemblies • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail • Comfortable using technical documentation and managing equipment records
Required Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics and Control • Restricted Electrical Licence desirable (Queensland or transferable)
Why Siemens?
• Join a respected global company with local roots • Work in a high-quality facility with modern equipment and tools • Be part of a stable, permanent team with real growth opportunities • Access to ongoing training and development
If you're passionate about electronics and want to work on meaningful projects with real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you!
