Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Specialist to support the troubleshooting and testing of complex electro-mechanical Class II medical devices. This role involves supporting NPI and Production projects to ensure the instruments are built, tested, and verified to a high standard while proposing build improvements. Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex technical issues during instrument build activities.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the NPI and Production projects to ensure instruments are built, tested, and verified to a high standard.Propose improvements to build processes.Troubleshoot complex technical issues arising during instrument build activities.Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical challenges.Essential SkillsMinimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing electromechanical devices.Demonstrated experience in building complex devices and troubleshooting equipment.Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering, hardware, systems integration, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in using tools such as multimeter, torque driver, pipette, light meter, temperature data logger, oscilloscope, and ESD equipment.Attention to detail for following complex build instructions.Critical thinking, especially in aligning optical systems and diagnosing hardware/software issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with optics field, including imagers, lasers, and lens components.Highly preferred experience in LYNX.Computer skills in Windows, Excel, MFT, executables, and .ini files.Ability to read work instructions and understand the basics of Excel.Experience with mechanical adjustments and aligning complex optical systems.Familiarity with cabling, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and signal integrity.Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment focused on the assembly of medical devices, working on a single line. The shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The facility is located in a new and innovative building in Irvine, offering exposure to various complex projects from top medical device companies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
