Schedule:

40 hours weeklyTypically, Friday - Monday 10-hour shift Start time between 6:00 am and end at 5:00pm    Must be flexible to work an earlier or later start time and until work is completed.   Possible weekdays outside Friday and Monday workdays as business needs demand.

Anticipated hourly range: $28.00 per hour - $32.00 per hour

What a Manufacturing Technician II contributes to Cardinal Health

Operates automatic and manual manufacturing and chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.  Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products. Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products. Mixes compound ingredients for liquid injectable products. May perform general maintenance. Performs standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (GMP). Maintains records as required. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent or equivalent work experience, preferred1-3 years related work experience and/or training preferredMust have Knowledge in Formulation and FillingPrior experience in manufacturing, preferably in a controlled environment and/or regulated industry.Ability to hear, write (English), and speak (English) clearly in order to communicate in manufacturing settingAble to repeatedly follow detailed processing instructionsAbility to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to evaluate operating conditions and exercise sound judgment and problem solving skillsLifting: Frequent lifting up to 50 lbsMay require the use of a PAPR (powered air purifying respirator)Ability to see fine particulate and differentiate colors in liquid solutionsManual dexterity required for equipment operation and occasional reach and lifting of small objectsAbility to be an effective team member

Responsibilities

Operates automatic and manual manufacturing and chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products.Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products. Mixes compound ingredients for liquid products and fills parenteral vials for further processing. Supplies automatic line with the necessary components for continued operation.Responsible for receiving components for use in manufacturing, which includes verifying lot numbers, expiry dates, material codes, etc.Ensure vial, label, and insert accountability during packaging operations.  This includes verifying finished quantities, samples, rejects, and returned materials.May perform general maintenance as required on various pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.Performs standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (GMP).  Follows a manufacturing batch record and ensures good documentation practices during all entries in batch records, logbooks, and forms. Maintains records as required. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures to maintain SISPQ (Safety, Integrity, Strength, Purity, and Quality). Moves materials around with manual pallet jack, a motorized walkie-stacker pallet jack, and a motorized pallet jack.  Training will be given for the operation of the motorized pallet jacks.Maintain cleanliness of the areas by performing routine cleanings/sanitizations.Follows all EHS procedures to ensure one’s personal safety and the safety of fellow workers. Position will be involved with the production of radiopharmaceuticals and must follow all radiation safety procedures to maintain safe, acceptable levels as indicated by government guidelines.Work environment consists of a manufacturing facility for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition.  Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards.  The facility is operated under well-controlled and closely monitored conditions that are regulated by both State and Federal agencies, and that are enforced by the corporate internal quality and regulatory group.  Each staff member will receive specific training in keeping radiation exposures within regulatory guidelines and he/she will be routinely monitored for their exposure to radiation.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
