Role Definition
Supports manufacturing processes by performing technical tasks.
Responsibilities
• Executing manufacturing tasks and processes according to defined SOPs and accurately documenting data and related batch records.
• Identifying issues related to manufacturing processes and opportunities for improvement.
• Providing support to manufacturing processes and assist with activities such as validation of processes implementing, documenting and reporting of best practices.

Level Basic Understanding:
• Identifies the primary operational functions of the organization.
• Explains operational functions and key functional roles of own dept or unit.

• Clarifies the role of each department and its relevance to the enterprise strategy.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Identifies safety hazards and anomalies during the manufacturing process and reports to an immediate superior.
• Works with basic manufacturing related operation procedures like productivity enhancement, quality control, etc.
• Participates in regular and ad-hoc operations review meetings.
• Assists in the process improvement projects of the plant or facility to deliver high quality products.
• Follows regulatory processes and procedures for the plant or facility.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Describes functional areas in a manufacturing facility.
• Describes the roles and responsibilities of manufacturing areas and staff.
• Identifies major phases and activities associated with a manufacturing cycle.
• Obtains and interprets high-level manufacturing flow and documentation.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Discusses the relevance of standards for a manufacturing environment.
• Researches process and product blueprints for own area.
• Describes and follows all policies, standards and procedures.
• Obtains documentation and information on standards and their usage.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions.
• Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area.
• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems.
• Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions.
• Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting.
