Primary Responsibilities

Ensure system uptime by responding promptly to IT issues and service requests.Install, configure, and maintain computing equipment in the manufacturing facility.Coordinate office IT installations and maintenance with the corporate service center.Oversee maintenance and support for local PCs and peripheral devices.Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including:Desktop and laptop computersPrinters, copiers, and plottersNetwork infrastructureSpecialized technology used in wood truss and wall panel manufacturingPerform software installations and updates as required.Liaise with third-party service providers for equipment servicing and support.Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate internal or external support teams.Collaborate effectively with team members on all assignments.Diagnose and resolve system errors and technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.Communicate regularly with management to report issue status, resolutions, and system health.Document all support activities in the corporate helpdesk system with detailed notes and communication logs.Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Facility Director.Work on-site five days a week, with occasional weekend support as needed.

Required Education

Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.Professional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCP/MCSA, CompTIA A+/Network+) or equivalent experience preferred.Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems required.

Required Experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, MiTek’s suite of applications.Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems.Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.Willingness to provide support during weekends and non-business hours as needed.Flexibility to take on projects outside of regular duties.Ability to routinely lift 20–25 lbs and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
