Job Description

Position Summary:

This role assists the manager in leading the fabrication team and will ensure work is properly assigned to the team. This includes communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling equipment.  If you are a hands-on problem solver, who is detail oriented, and able to work with minimal support this role is for you!  

Leads second shift teams by delegating tasks, managing workload, motivating and encouraging the team.Reading metric and imperial prints with GDT.Setting up, operating and maintaining CNC/Manual machinery to fulfill production orders with expected quality at or below expected cost.Using precision measuring tools to maintain accuracy and quality of parts.Contributing to cost and lead time reduction through continuous improvements and innovation Strategic thinking while coming up with creative manufacturing solutions to produce low volume parts cost effectively.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Must possess a two-year technical degree in machining or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines or have an overall 7+ years of work experience in CNC machining.Operating knowledge of 5-axis milling.Proficient in machine programming (i.e. G-code, M-code, conversational).The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.Experience programming and operating CNC lathes, Mills and surface & cylindrical grinders.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP and ERP knowledge or experience.Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning/Forecasting, Inventory /Production Planning, Finite scheduling and knowledge of Lean logistics concepts.CAD/CAM experience.Basic computer proficiency with strong knowledge of excel and other MS Office products.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $38 - $42.50/ per hour based on a full-time schedule with an additional shift differential.
