What You Can Expect

Provides leadership for production employees in a cell group or packaging area.  Manages production processes to achieve key objectives.  Leads productivity and quality improvements and looks for opportunities to reduce cost.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm. Flexibility required per business needs (weekends or overtime by exception). 

How You'll Create Impact Manage assigned cells to ensure the production rates are met and standard processes are being followed.Leading problem-solving efforts, coach team members in resolving conflicts, achieving results.Collect and analyze data to reduce costs and improve efficiencies in your organization.Coaching, motivating, counseling, training and recognizing employees.Communicating manufacturing and corporate objectives and providing direction and how employees contribute to the achievement of objectives.Assure the quality of the product and/or service performed in the assigned area.Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity related to the product, process, and quality systems, and initiate, recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.Maintain and use statistical process control methods (when required) for constant improvement.Promotes and ensure compliance with departmental, company, government, and regulatory laws and regulations.Effectively manages employee performance, including confronting performance.Effectively handle team meetings, make decisions, follow guidelines and have critical conversations.Promotes and maintain a safe and clean work area.Performs other tasks within the work area, as instructed by the Supervisor or Designee.

What Makes You Stand Out Understanding of how the organization makes money. Envision what the company should do now to be more profitable and successful.Understanding of the key production planning tools that make for an even flow of material and a minimum amount of money tied up in inventories.Effective problem solving skills, including problem identification, data gathering, solution development, and implementation and follow-up.Demonstrate accountability, results oriented, high achievement, and organized work habits.Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with issues with multiple variables such as process improvement and resolution of poor performance on an individual or cell basis.Understanding of capacity and other key metrics.Strong team skills, demonstrating the ability to work within a team environmental within the organization and across departments and shifts.Ability to interview and select most qualified candidates for the cells.Effective oral and written communication skills, in English and Spanish.Understanding of blueprints, GMP’s, OCP’s, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.Your Background High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.Minimum of 6 years combined industry (biomedical, medical device) and/or military experience; or 8 years of combined industry, military and/or related (general manufacturing, quality or logistics) experience.A combination of education and experience will be considered.1 year of supervisory or leadership experience required but 3+ years preferred; may include military leadership experience.Travel Expectations
