Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the TR3 (transformer repair & refurbishment & redesign) factory and departmentDriving lean manufacturing, including manufacturing process excellence and continuous improvement, daily management, and standard workEnsure that the organizational design, functional expertise, and manufacturing process experience of the team is positioned for excellenceCreate, develop, and maintain business relations and effective communication with customers, union, subcontractors, sub-suppliers, consultants and within the companyImplement business unit objectives and service manufacturing department goals in each functional area and driving decision-making responsibility and accountability for key operational initiativesTrack and report metrics in their functional area to include man hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity, and customer complaintsEstablish team goals that meet or exceed quality standardsLeading compliance, as well as environmental, health & safety efforts in support of plant goalsAware of and comply with the quality management system, quality management policy, quality goals, and applicable laws and regulationsFollowing grid solutions operating instructions Support to all transformer related service projects in unit and globally as a part of GE Grid SolutionsMaintains accountability for the training, development, and performance management of team members in a functional area, including the developing training plans to maximize workforce capabilityBuild, control and follow-up the quality control programs, project reviews in SAP, project schedule and planning according to GE project management instructionsSupport to unit sourcing for critical needs of the manufacturing, control, logistic and procurement activitiesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields, preferably electrical engineeringMinimum 7 years' experience in power transformer businessExpertise from design, manufacturing, and/or quality backgroundFamiliar to all specifications, standards, norms on transformers Strong technical knowledge about production processes and resource managementStrong oral and written English language skillComfortable in hybrid working conditionsAbility to live in Istanbul or KocaeliSAP program knowledge is a plusDesired Characteristics
