Manufacturing Production Planner

Job Description:

Location: Stamford, Connecticut

CoWorx is seeking Manufacturing Production Planners in the Stamford, CT.

The Manufacturing Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant.

Responsibilities:

Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
Prepares raw material purchase orders with suppliers.
Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in SAP.
Coordinates with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production.
Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
Communicates and coordinates with suppliers, PolyOne Central Planning, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations.
May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.

Desired Background/Skills:

2–4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent analytical skills for evaluating production needs and anticipating issues.
Effective communicator, able to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
Problem-solving mindset to address material shortages, schedule disruptions, and shipment discrepancies.
