We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a leading Company located in Wausau, WI.
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Wausau, WI. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives across all departments at our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process improvement and project management and have a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:  Identify, develop, and implement improvement projects across various departments to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.Work with key stakeholders to develop scope, justification, budget, and execution plans for site capital investment projects.Work closely with departmental heads and team members to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans to address them.Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.Monitor and evaluate the progress of improvement initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.Facilitate problem-solving sessions using techniques such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.Maintain detailed records of all improvement projects, including goals, timelines, progress, and outcomes.Support the organization in managing change effectively, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum engagement.
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a continuous improvement or process improvement role, preferably within the manufacturing or steel fabrication industry.Lean/Continuous Improvement experience and metal/fab experience.Experience with Facility layout.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, statistical analysis software, and project management tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and influence others without direct authority.Ability to analyze complex processes and data to identify areas for improvement.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.Passionate about driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
