Description

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer with experience with large accumulator-head blow molding of large plastic parts. This role will be responsible for the facilities blow molding machines (Davis Standard) as well as optimizing production processes, improving cycle times and product quality, and supporting new product introductions in a high-volume, industrial manufacturing environment.

•\tReview and analyze process control data, documents and reports

•\tEnsure consistent machine and part performance.

•\tSupervise and lead all mold set up and product processing operations to ensure 100% compliance to quality and efficiency standards.

•\tDevelop, optimize, and document blow molding process parameters for large-part accumulator-head machines.

•\tTroubleshoot molding defects such as flash, warp, poor part weight distribution, or poor surface finish.

•\tMonitor and adjust process settings to maintain quality and reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time.

•\tCollaborate with tooling, maintenance, and quality teams on process improvements, tooling trials, and machine upgrades.

•\tSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions related to part quality or machine reliability.

•\tAssist with new mold sampling and validation; lead the development of process sheets and standard work instructions.

•\tDrive continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

•\tMonitor performance metrics (OEE, scrap, cycle time, yield) and implement improvements accordingly.

•\tTrain operators and technicians on proper machine setup and troubleshooting practices.

•\tEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

•\t3 to 10 years of experience in large part blow molding equipment and processes

•\tDegree in manufacturing of any nature is preferred. (Experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.) High school diploma or GED is required

•\tAlternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments

•\tMaco 8000 experience a plus but not required

•\tFamiliarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

•\tExcellent troubleshooting skills.

•\tBasic computer and report writing skills.

•\tExperience with Davis Standard Blow Molding machines

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $62.50/hr.
