Manufacturing Process Engineer

Description

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support the Battery Module. This role is critical to the successful launch and ongoing optimization of automated battery production systems. The engineer will be responsible for equipment commissioning, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with GM’s Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

•\tCommission automated cells for battery module production, including integration with trades and suppliers

•\tProvide technical support during installation, launch, and production ramp-up phases.

•\tTroubleshoot equipment and line issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.

•\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production flow and adherence to quality standards.

•\tSupport the implementation of PFMEA, safety FMEA, and Process Control Plans

•\tContribute to Business Plan Deployment (BPD) activities and statistical process control efforts

•\tMaintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

•\tPrior experience at GM or similar OEMs.

•\tExposure to battery module or EV component manufacturing.

•\tWillingness to work extended hours and multiple shifts as needed

•\tFamiliarity with GMS, PFMEA, and process documentation.

•\tStrong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
