Job Description
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will provide focused leadership and technical support to Operations, emphasizing project management, equipment qualification/validation, standard operating procedures, standard costing, capacity analysis, yield improvements, cost reduction, planning, validations, and metrology.
ResponsibilitiesSupport production to maintain inventory flow and levels to meet demand.Address issues such as NCR and CAPA quickly and effectively.Plan, lead, and execute cross-functional projects impacting operations and other areas of the business with guidance.Lead continuous improvement activities focusing on productivity, quality, cost, cycle time, and yield of raw materials.Lead efforts to maintain and improve the quality of existing operations, processes, and products.Analyze existing and new processes and improve processes using Lean Six Sigma tools such as spaghetti diagrams, process maps, and SIPOC.Represent operations on new product development teams, developing and implementing associated processes.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering, preferably biomedical.3+ years of relevant experience in a highly regulated environment such as medical device, automotive, or aerospace.Experience in technical/report writing, which constitutes 90% of the job.Proficiency in Medical Device Manufacturing, GD&T, QMS, ASQ, Six Sigma, tissue processing, nerve validation, cGMP, GMP, Regulatory Audit, root cause analysis, Process engineering, Process improvement, CFR Part, biologics manufacturing engineering, and process design engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a related field such as biologics, biomedical, medical device manufacturing, or tissue manufacturing.Teamwork-oriented individual capable of driving themselves and taking ownership.Mechanical, chemical, biomedical, industrial engineering background preferred.3+ years with MS Excel, capable of creating formulas and basic functions up to intermediate level.Experience in researching, compiling, and reviewing various types of data and information.Lean manufacturing and/or process controls experience.Tissue experience preferred.Master's degree is a plus.Willingness to process and handle human and animal tissue-based products.Work Environment
The work environment includes a business casual dress code within a clean room setting, operating on an 8-5 schedule with a 40-hour work week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $55.00/hr.
