As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will work in a team-oriented environment solving problems, documenting root cause and corrective actions. Communicating and reporting to management, and recommending on how to reduce scrap and improve process stability for our transparencies production areas. You will work onsite in our Sylmar, CA site! You will report to the Production Manager.
 

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for measuring, documenting and improving current manufacturing process capabilitiesPerform process audits to ensure processes are being followed and documentation is up-to-date.Continuous improvement: use data-driven approach to implement improvements in the manufacturing areas for process stabilization, repeatability, control, efficiencies of labor, and time and cost reduction in scrap and rework. Implement new tooling, jigs, and fixture designs into the manufacturing process to eliminate waste, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency.Generate process flow, support manufacturing operators with tools and equipment, and all necessary documents.Manage all technical documents, BOO/BOM, process specifications, control of production process changes and procedures.Participate in Material Review Board; daily review of product non-conformities and disposition accordingly.
 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in EngineeringKnowledge of Manufacturing Processes and the use of standard work in manufacturing.Must be hands-on, proactive, and enjoys working on the shop floor to resolve production issues.5 + years of Engineering experienceLean Six SigmaExperience performing and conducting RCCAs, DOE, SWIs, FMEAs, and Process CapabilityUnderstanding of MRP, DOE, FMEA, Fishbone, 5Y's, & value stream mappingKnowledge of CNC, Automation, and Robotics is desirableExperience with performance coatings, composite material is a plus.US PersonAble to obtain Security Clearance

Salary Range $100,000-$115,000
