Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Works under general supervision. Performs daily SiC manufacturing duties, using industry standard equipment including but not limited to grinders, polishers, and metrology equipment. Performs daily calibrations and equipment verifications set by engineering. Keeps accurate records and observational logs of all manufacturing steps. Defined guidelines and standards or precedents guide rarely independent judgement. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgement. Applies working general knowledge of technical resources to complete assigned task. Identifies and solves basic problems and presents alternatives in a useful / logical manner. Maintains clean and organized work areas. Supports initiatives to continuously improve and reduce variations in specific operations or processes, including Lean Six Sigma training, process control charting, and process capability studies. Must be able to multi-task multiple processes at any given moment. Supports and responds to requests for assistance with customer-related quality and delivery issues.

Little or no prior relevant work experience. Must have both written and verbal skill to complete job requirements. Must have basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel). ITAR compliance requirement: Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Working Conditions

Temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Cleanliness ranges from warehouse-type fabrication environment to high-purity clean room environment. Safety is our number one priority.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move or traverse at least 50% of the time. Working in a stationary position may be required some of the time. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds on a regular basis.
