Manufacturing Operations Director (Joinville/SC)

Job Description

The Joinville Manufacturing Operations Director is responsible for the end-to-end process for the Manufacturing Technology Solutions Division at the Joinville site. This leader provides direction to the cross-functional team to ensure the reliability of quality identifiers. To achieve and ensure all requirements related to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality, Financial, and Capex, the director ensures alignment with the expectations of our company and the global team.

The director plays a key role in developing and executing the site’s strategic priorities and actively sponsors a culture of continuous improvement, while leveraging Diversity and Inclusion as core values.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance within the region according to company trade standards and policies at manufacturing sites.Support trade compliance audits at the site to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and assist in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Frequently interact with other Marketing, Sales, and R&D departments within the region.Lead the integration between the site of Joinville Technology Solutions and the company global Manufacturing Division.Set the overall plant strategy, including developing a 5-year plan to optimize site activity and performance.Collaborate with your team to evaluate and continuously improve the plant's Environmental, Health, and safety compliance posture. You will strive to provide all employees with a safe and healthy workplace.Organize manufacturing activities to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products at a competitive cost. You will collaborate with the site leadership teams to ensure accurate reporting.Responsible for the Product Quality delivered in your scope. You will provide the necessary evidence and documentation to keep products compliant with various global and national regulations related to these kinds of products. You will ensure that the Quality organization follows the Global Quality strategy.Promote the creation of the right manufacturing performance tracking tools (incl. the right Key Performance Indicators) and use these tools to evaluate the performance of the manufacturing sites.Promote Lean Manufacturing & 6 Sigma principles in the manufacturing facilities. You will sponsor the Continuous improvement & best practice sharing initiatives.Co-define and execute a mid-long and long-term strategy for its manufacturing sites to cope with the targeted growth and the unpredictability of some markets.Provide ongoing feedback and sponsor development opportunities to your Leadership Team, explicitly focusing on the talent and expertise pool.You will frequently interact with the other Marketing/Sales and R&D departments in their Region.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.Proven relevant work experience.Advanced/Fluent in EnglishStrong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 systems.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.Familiarity with Six Sigma principles
